What is a Private Sitting
A private sitting is a consultation with a medium on a one-to-one basis, either in your own home, their home or place of practice, or at a Spiritualist church. Genuine Spiritualist mediums do not usually use tools like Tarot cards in order to do the readings but some may work in this way if requested by the sitter. Tarot cards etc are just tools and will make no difference whatsoever to the sitting, the same information will be given.
It is NOT a medium’s job to predict your future for you, if this is the type of reading you are wanting then please find somebody who advertises themselves as a Psychic and not as a medium. All mediums are psychic, not all psychics are mediums.
It is a medium’s job to give you evidence of life after death by giving you information about your loved ones in the spirit world by giving you a physical description of them, talk about their character, specific memories, anniversaries, names, music, perhaps how they passed over and some information about what is happening around you at the moment in order to let you know that your loved one is still aware of you and still cares for you.
Mediums charge different amounts for sittings but we would recommend that you contact your local Spiritualist Church in order that they can recommend genuine mediums to you. Some churches actually have regular sessions where mediums can be consulted on a one-to-one basis and you would find that these mediums donate some of the proceeds to the church itself.
Farnworth church is endeavouring to hold private sittings on the second Saturday in the month at a cost of £10.00, which is very reasonable. Please ask your friends if they have consulted mediums successfully in the past, please go to see a medium who has been recommended to you by someone who’s opinion you trust.
If you do not feel that the medium you have consulted has given you evidence that your loved ones have survived that change called death then do not pay the medium. We would point out however that it is not possible for all mediums to work with everybody, and that we cannot demand of spirit so please always be aware that at this particular time your sitting may not be successful. Please try again a couple of weeks later. Nobody should need to consult a medium on a one-to-one basis more that twice a year. Please remember that if a spirit personality decides to give you some advice it is up to you if you follow it or not, just because they have now passed over does not mean they are ‘all knowing’ and, lets face it, if you did not listen them when they were here why should you now they are not!!
